Written Tycoon (below) has well and truly left his mark across the pond with
his flashy chestnut colt from the Lochrae mare, Wild Release, being knocked
down for $250,000 at this week’s Ready To Run in New Zealand.
Yet another to be linebred to Vain, this colt hails from the family of
Champion Sire Centaine and Champions Laissefaire and Lone Rock and is the most
expensive Written Tycoon sold at public auction.
The colt was purchased by Michael Chang, a leading trainer in Hong
Kong (not the Michael Chang who won 34 tennis singles titles!).
