Nifty quinella for
God’s Own at Mornington today with Manor Lady taking out the Slickpix Plate
over 1000m from Godson.
(Ima Nugget – who
we firmly believe was named after our Sales & Nominations Manager, Mark
Lindsay – finished on well on for third).
But back to God’s
Own … it was a deserved victory for the Robbie Griffiths trained Manor Lady
who, going into the race, had clocked up four seconds, while Godson is equally
consistent with four seconds from just eight outings.
Closely related to
Group One winner, Firing Range, Manor Lady is out of the winning Grand Lodge
mare, M’Lady’s Manor, while Godson (from the Alzao mare, Rubra Lass) is a half
brother to four winners including multiple Group winner Emlozza and Group One
Macau winner Doppio.
