Robbie Griffiths might suffer by comparison to some of the training ranks’ bigger guns, but it’s in name only. The Cranbourne based mentor keeps pumping out the winners and two of his finest painted the town red (pink, blue and white to be more accurate!) on Friday night and Saturday afternoon when, firstly, It Is Written got the money at Moonee Valley before Vain Attraction romped home at Caulfield.
Stepping out in
the Christmas at the Valley Handicap (1200m), It Is Written (ex. Winning Team
by Danehill Dancer), notched up his fourth win overall and is now two from two
this time in.
Vain Attraction
(ex. Centennial by Centaine) was similarly untroubled in the D’urban Plate over
1200m and she too was untroubled, racing home strongly to win by two. And, like
It Is Written, this was win No. 4 as well.
Griffiths
snapped up It Is Written from the Riva Ridge draft at the 2010 Adelaide Magic
Millions, while Vain Attraction (below) was bred by long-time Griffiths Racing clients.
Good yarn on
Griffiths Racing at bit.ly/ULYFL9 including footage of Vain Attraction’s win.
