DUBBO DOUBLE

Running double for Bel Esprit at Dubbo yesterday following victories to both Sizzling Spring (ex. True Spirit by Mustin Lake) and Criminal Mind (ex. Flying Gigi by Flying Spur).
It was win No. 3 for the Ken Parsons trained Sizzling Spring who lobbed at the juicy odds of $12, while the Stephen Edwards trained and owned was also impressive in scoring his second win at the NSW track.
Bred by Peter & Val Toole in South Australia, Sizzling Spring is out of the Group winner, True Spirit, a sister to stakes winner Spirit of Hope and half sister to Group One winner Blevvo, while Criminal Mind hails from Queensland where she was bred by John Stuart Investments and is related to champion sire Zabeel.
By the by, Dubbo is 400kms from Sydney and is famous for the bands Thirsty Merc and The Reels and somewhat infamously, the Sydney underworld figure Kate Leigh (below), popularised in the recent Underbelly series.
