The writing appeared to be on the wall after a solid trial win 12 days ago and Shinzig 2YO, Ziggler, certainly didn’t disappoint on debut over 1000m at Morphettville today.
Racing out of the strong Lloyd Kennewell stable, Ziggler was at the very tail of the field just 400m out from home, but picked up the pace over the closing stages to record a comfortable length and a bit win.
Hailing from Shinzig’s second crop, Ziggler is out of the Centaine mare, Princess Canny and was snapped by Kennewell at last year’s Magic Millions National Yearling Sale.
Shinzig’s other recent winners include Pixelated (also one from one), To Infinity, French Butterfly, We Can Dance and Little Red Wagon.
