One
of the thoroughbred industry’s most prestigious awards is the Luxbet/Inglis
Best Presented Draft, acknowledged annually at the Inglis Melbourne Premier
Yearling Sale.
This
year the award went to Eliza Park which had consigned no less than 51 yearlings
to Melbourne.
In
announcing the award, Inglis’ Victorian chief – Peter Heagney – stressed that
while Eliza Park had by far the largest draft at Melbourne ’12, the award is
about the overall quality of a given draft.
Congratulating
Eliza Park yearling manager, Jenny Saunders, Heagney added: “After careful
consideration, it was noted by our judges that Eliza Park did a sterling job
presenting the yearlings and the staff and your stable area and marquee were
all impeccably presented.”
Proudly,
Eliza Park CEO, Cameron Croucher, noted: “My personal congratulations to Jenny
and her team – this year we had record numbers inspecting our draft and it was
hugely gratifying to not only get such positive feedback from those inspecting
the yearlings, but also to gain the acknowledgement of the judges.
“Eliza
Park also had a clearance rate of 95% in the first session – as against 81% for
the sale overall – so it shows our yearlings were in strong demand.
“Eliza
Park bases its reputation on professionalism and attention to detail while
maximising returns for our clients, so this award is very special.”
