There were just
four meetings held around Australia yesterday – each of them provincial –
including a seven race program at downtown Naracoorte in South Oz.
Interestingly,
Eliza Park stallions took out five of the seven races with Statue of Glory
(Statue of Liberty) winning the second, Kirvic (Danerich) taking out the third,
God Help Us (God’s Own) capturing the fourth, Beleconi (Bel Esprit) lobbing in
a thriller in the fifth and Sandhill Jett (Written Tycoon) taking out the lucky
last.
Sandhill Jett (ex.
Jeune mare Gundooee Miss) was clearly the most impressive, winning his
assignment by almost six lengths and the lightly raced 4YO has now won two from
four. His sire, Written Tycoon (below), is now standing at Eliza Park Queensland after
capturing the Australian First Season Sires’ title in 10/11 and last season
being one of the leading Australian Second Season sires.
Beleconi (ex.
Snippets mare Bocconi), meanwhile, posted win No. 6 and is yet another winner
for the Champion Victorian Sire who retains his position among the top three
national stallions by winners.
Ultra consistent,
Statue of Glory (ex. Rory’s Jester mare Rory’s Glory) – a half brother to 2YO
stakes winner Rossa Glory – has now won six and placed in 14, while God Help Us
(ex. Stravinsky mare By Any Means) grabbed win No. 3 in impressive fashion.
Kirvic (ex.
Archway mare Renima) franked some solid lead ups with a command performance
over 1430m and this win won’t be her last.
Her sire,
Danerich, stands at Rangal Park Stud in conjunction with Eliza Park who bred
the stakes winning son of Danehill.
