Written Tycoon (below) recorded a two state double on Thursday, with the highly rated pair of Oristana
and It Is Written scoring at Gosford and Seymour respectively.
Trained by
former leading jockey, Kevin Moses, Oristana has now put together two wins from
three outings and led throughout to score comfortably over 1000m on NSW’s
Central Coast.
Oristana’s only
‘miss’ to date was when she missed the kick and the flashy 4YO produced a bold
front running performance at Gosford to score comfortably: much to the delight
of favourite backers and her applicably named owner/breeder – Realrosy Pty Ltd.
Out of the Marwina
mare, Valdiola, Oristana is linebred to both Marscay and Vain (no wonder she
has plenty of toe!).
The near black,
It Is Written, did plenty to enhance his reputation with a solid effort at
Seymour: sitting just off the pace before zooming away to a comfortable two and
a half panel victory over 1000m.
Also sent out
favourite, the Robbie Griffiths trained flyer was on the sidelines for four
months before Friday’s romp and now has three wins and two seconds to his name.
A Moonee Valley
winner in February, It Is Written clearly handles firmer tracks and could
easily make his presence felt during the summer.
Bred by River
Ridge Stud in South Australia, It Is Written is out of the Danehill Dancer mare
Winning Team and was sold to Griffiths for $45,000 at the 2010 Adelaide Magic
Millions.
