WANTED … MARES FOR SALE

The 2013 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale catalogue is now online and it’s exciting to note that there are 13 lots by Eliza Park’s boom sire, Wanted, up for grabs … including the colt from Regal Arena which was sold on the Gold Coast earlier this year for $255,000.

The Wanteds have been hugely popular with some of his other weanlings fetching up to $190,000, while mares in foal to the Group One winning son of Fastnet Rock have brought over $200k.

And they represented enormous value too … both mares are listed at $60,000 plus GST and the first is Star’s Delight (a Zeditave half sister to stakes winners Nediym’s Glow and Red Colossus) with a nice early cover (6 September), while the other is Waajib mare Forest Finch (below), a close relation to Snitzel, who is about to drop her foal in the next week or so.

There is also a Red Ransom mare for sale (Razz and Red) from the Champion Filly, Mythical Play. Razz and Red is in foal to Bel Esprit, again with a nice early cover (6 September).
