WIN WAS HEAVENLY

Off the scene for nearly two years after running third on debut at Warrnambool, Heavenly Hop is making up for lost time with his second successive win on Saturday, scoring by a length and a half over 1600m at Ballarat.
Since resuming in January, the Darren Weir (right) trained ‘miler’ has produced two seconds and, on 31 January, won his maiden at Warrnambool as favourite.
The God’s Own 4YO was again favourite on Saturday and he didn’t disappoint, flying home to score impressively. Heavenly Hop is one of 54 – yep, that’s right, 54 – individual winners for God’s Own this season.
