Where there’s smoke, there’s fire.
The old axiom may well apply to the progeny
of Shinzig who have certainly come under notice in recent weeks.
Firstly, two of his youngsters went under
the spotlight at the Gold Coast and now another of his first croppers has shown
up in a breeze up across the Tasman.
At the National Horses in Training Sale,
the Shinzig colt from Time Is Hope ran a cracking 10.63 seconds and was
subsequently knocked down for $90,000, while the Shinzig colt from Chlorophyll
sold for $120,000.
One then wonders what the Shinzig 2YO from
the well related Bektris (Lot 43, below) will bring at the New Zealand Ready to Run Sale at
Karaka on 15 November after he ran a cracking 10.90 seconds in his breeze up?
