WRITTEN TYCOON TRUMPS DOUBLE

Written Tycoon’s Masthead might have denied victory when fourth to the brilliant Sepoy in yesterday’s Danehill Stakes-G2 at Flemington, but it was certainly the best day (thus far) at the office for Australia’s reigning Champion First Season Sire.
Some 10 minutes and 1700 kilometres apart, the Robert Heathcote trained, Trump, notched up his third victory (two from two this time in) when scoring confidently over 1500m at Eagle Farm, coming from near last on the bend.
Trump – owned in part partnership by Eliza Park and Iskander Racing – has really blossomed under the tutelage of Heathcote and big things appear to await the flashy 3YO.
Taking a sharp left (for around 1500kms) you’ll find the famous Birdsville racetrack which also hosted a Written Tycoon winner yesterday in the shape of Portion (ex. Princess Baxaar by Xaar) who was having only her fourth outing.
All up, three runners for the day for two winners and a Group Two fourth … not a bad afternoon’s work!
