Hot on the heels of impressive debutant,
Petrova, over 1000m at Cranbourne on Friday night, Magnus has produced another
first start winner with Missy Cummings scoring in style over 1000m at Wyong on
Sunday.
Trained and owned – somewhat appropriately
– by Anthony Cummings (below), Missy Cummings is out of the 3-time stakes winning
Serheed mare, Lady Knockout, in turn a daughter of the multiple Group winning
Prime Again.
Both Petrova and Missy Cummings were bred
by Rob Crabtree, who raced the pairs Group One winning sire.
Magnus has again moved to the lead on the
Australian Second Season Sires’ list by winners (26 winners from 62 runners),
ahead of Casino Prince (25 winners from 85 runners).
