April is already shaping as another good
month for Written Tycoon with a double on the 1st (Some Boy and Portion), a
winner with his only runner on the 4th (Drumkit), a Group second in Singapore
with Masthead on the 5th, and at Moonee Valley on Saturday, the Robbie
Griffiths trained, It Is Written, notched up win No. 4 in town.
Indeed, It Is Written is becoming something
of a Valley specialist with all of his wins – bar his maiden victory at
Werribee – recorded at the city track.
It will hardly come as a surprise given his
penchant for the tight turning circuit, It Is Written has had his last seven
starts at Moonee Valley for a win, a second, a fourth, a win, a second, a third
and, yet again, a win, taking his earnings close to the $200k mark.
Out of the Danehill Dancer mare, Winning
Team, It Is Written is a well related speedster and has proven to be a real bargain for
Griffiths (below) who snapped him up for $45,000 at the 2010 Adelaide Magic Millions.
