Very impressive performance on Sunday by
the lightly raced Magnus 3YO, Magnatune, who scooted away to a three plus
length victory over 1524m at Mornington.
Part-owned by RVL chairman, Rob Roulston,
Magnatune jumped from barrier nine but soon hit the lead and set the temp
before surging clear on turning for home.
This was only Magnatune’s third outing and
clearly has a decent slice of ability. Trained by Jason Warren, who tasted
Group One success earlier in the year with Bel Sprinter, Magnatune is out of
the Arctic Rhythm mare, Rhythm in the Skye, who is now the dam of three winners
including Caulfield Group winner Rhythm in Paris
Magnus has 35 winners for the season … just
one behind Casino Prince on the Second Season Sires’ chart.
