SOUTHERN SUPPORT FOR WRITTEN

Written Tycoon is gaining friends all over the shop, but they have particular affection for Australia’s Champion First Season Sire in South Aussie.
Alezan Thunder added some more black type to the coffers when she ran a top notch third to Applegate in the Emirates Airline Plate-LR for 2YOs (1000m) at Flemington on Cup Day after scoring a comfortable win on debut at Morphettville on 8 October.
Trained by Mark Kavanagh, Alezan Thunder is out of the Thunder Gulch mare Elysian Thunder (Alezan, evidently, is French for chestnut of which this filly is an imposing example).
Meanwhile, the Terry and Karina O’Sullivan trained, Tykook (ex. Takook by Keltrice) recorded her second win at Morphettville when successful over 1100m on 22 October – first up from a spell.
Tykook (below) has now finished in the money on five of six starts and her the only real blot on her copybook was on a heavy surface at her second start.
