Following on
from the wins of Chinzia and Miss Written on Tuesday and Wednesday, Written
Tycoon had another one of his consistent performers salute at Newcastle on
Saturday when Xatel Ekwa (ex. Solar Song by Flying Spur) scored over 1500m for
trainer Craig Carmody.
A year older
brother to the multiple stakes placed juvenile, Andre Roo Hoo, Xatel Ekwa has
now raced on three occasions for two wins and a third.
Meanwhile,
Robert Heathcote’s 3-time city winner, Trump (ex. Queenie by Black
Minnaloushe), went within a head of registering his first stakes victory when
second to Morning Captain in the Listed National Jockey Celebration Queensland
Day over 1350m at Doomben.
