Nifty win at
Bendigo today for the Written Tycoon filly, Miss Written, who notched up her
maiden win for trainer Shane Fliedner.
Miss Written
hasn’t had much luck in her two most recent outings after just being beaten on
debut over the same course and distance in November, but she was all business
in the Dawson Maiden Plate: undoubtedly to the joy of those punters who backed
her into $2.20 favouritism.
It was
certainly reward for Fliedner who also put the finishing polish on Miss Written’s
half brother Tollesprit (by Bel Esprit), a winner at Moonee Valley and
Flemington and a runnerup in the Group Three McNeil at Caulfield.
This is really
a happening family with the Bel Esprit colt from the Jetball mare Jezeera, a
sister to Tollesprit and half sister to Miss Written, being sold by Eliza Park
for $225,000 at the Magic Millions in January.
PS. Written
Tycoon registered a two day double with Miss Written after the Brian Cox
trained, Chinzia, scored comfortably at Wodonga on Tuesday. The Dick and Swal
Sloane filly has now won four from eight with a further two seconds.
