LUCKY SHINZIG

One owner who would have gotten a buzz from Psychic Mick’s win at Morphettville yesterday was John Sheehan.

John is the owner of Shinzig 2YO, Lucky on Black, who he purchased from Eliza Park’s Adelaide Magic Millions draft last year and we’re told the baby is about a month off trialling.

Baby? Hardly … according to John, Lucky on Black – out of the Rubiton mare, Rubilass – is fast approaching 17 hands and looks every inch the racehorse. Thanks heavens he has a lovely temperament, because it sounds like he’s a bit too big to argue with!

Good name too … it’s fairly safe to say that the ‘Black’ was a given, especially due to his near black colouring, while John has followed the Chinese ethos of naming horses ‘Lucky’ and ‘Happy’.

One thing’s for sure … if John’s monster is lucky on debut, he’ll be one happy owner!
