Nifty performance yesterday by Sharkbite
2YO, Sasenkile who battled on strongly for second on debut over 1200m at
Morphettville.
Trained by Tony McEvoy and boasting a large
team of owners, Sasenkile got shuffled back early but showed he was well and
truly on target for a city win with his fighting qualities.
A first crop son of the impeccably bred and
stakes winning son of Redoute’s Choice, Sasenkile is out of the Snippets mare,
Snippet’s Beauty, who has produced the city winner Beau Regis – looks to be
another one on the way.
Hoofnote: Sasenkile evidently means
‘beautiful’ in Shangaan (a tribe of the Tsonga people in various parts of South
Africa).
