Welcome back … much improved effort by
Statue of Liberty flyer, Mic Mac, in yesterday’s Listed June Stakes at
Randwick, coming from last at the 400m to snare fourth.
Off the scene for 13 months before resuming
with an 11th in the Listed Ortensia at Scone, Mic Mac was shuffled
right back turning for home but fought on gamely and the 7YO might not be that
far off another black type victory.
Winner of the Hobartville and Memsie – both
Group Two events – Mic Mac is also multiple Group One placed, including a third
in the 2010 Stradbroke Handicap … beaten a neck.
