Huge performance by Bushranger 2YO,
Riverboat Springs, on the Epsom Derby program, coming from some 15 lengths off
the pace with just 200m to go, to grab second in the Listed Investec Woodcote
Stakes on Saturday night.
Trained by Mick Channon and snapped up for
55,000 guineas at the 2012 October Yearling Sale, Riverboat Springs won easily
on debut at Bath a fortnight ago and is clearly a youngster with plenty of
ability.
Riverboat Springs (below) is out of the well
related Selkirk mare, Mashie.
