Robert Smerdon gallopers rarely fly under the radar and Bel Esprit mare Bon Marche was no different when contesting the 1500m Consulting Industries Handicap at Geelong on Saturday (2 January).
Rated an $11 pop just two minutes prior to them jumping, Bon Marche paid $6.90 on the TAB following her comfortable victory: her third (along with four placings) from 16 career outings.
Bon Marche scored her first win at Geelong but has also tripped the light fantastic at Moonee Valley.
Out of the Bubble Gum Fellow mare, Sunday Bliss, Bon Marche was bred – and is part-owned by VRC committeeman, Paul Leeds – who will be consigning a God’s Own colt from Miss Theron to the 2010 Gold Coast Magic Millions via the Eliza Park draft.
Due to the enter the ring on Friday, you can view a full profile of the God’s Own colt by clicking here.
