Written Tycoon has 14 yearlings up for grabs at
next month’s Adelaide Magic Millions and, given the impressive victory of
Tycoon Heights over 1100m at Morphettville on Saturday, you can rest assured
the entire cast will spend plenty of time outside the box.
The winning margin for Tycoon Heights might not
have been substantial but it was the style of the performance that would have
had trainer Andrew Dillon mapping out an ambitious program for his speedy 4YO.
Bred and raced by Campolina Pty Ltd, Tycoon
Heights has now raced on five occasions for three wins and he appears to have
shaken off the rust when finishing midfield on resuming at Werribee on 27
January.
A Champion Australian First Season Sire, Written
Tycoon has popped up with winners all over the shop in recent months – the
unbeaten 2YO stakes winner, Grand Tycoon, Smasher, Write Cheek, Written
Eleison, It Is Written and co., but in terms of his Magic Millions ‘14’, his
Adelaide city winners include Alezan Thunder, Tykook and Ambrosia, making him
very much the flavor in South Australia’s capital.
PS. For those of you that can’t wait, keep in
mind that Written Tycoon also has 12 entered for the Melbourne Premier,
including a half brother to 2012 Flemington spring carnival stakes winner,
Philippi, the second foal of a winning half sister to multiple stakes winner
Kenconcarne, the second foal of a half sister to Group One winner Bulla
Borghese, plus halfs to Flemington stakes runners up, Adaptor and Kid Kobe.
