Statue of Liberty has chalked up a
remarkable weekend with three winners … in three countries!
The Irish bred, Speak The Truth, got
the ball rolling with a solid win at Lingfield in Great Britain on Saturday
night, while – on Sunday – the well named, New York, strolled home at Sale by a
good two lengths as favourite, before Real Goodman grabbed the money in
Singapore.
Speak The Truth is out of the Brief
Truce mare, Brave Truce and is linebred to Northern Dancer through a son and
daughter and has now won 11 starts in Britain.
New York, meanwhile, is out of the
Noalcoholic mare, My Nancy, who has produced six to race for six winners
including Group winning sprinter, King Hoaks.
Singapore winner, Real Goodman, was
bred by Bronwyn Hawking and Wayne Ross in Victoria but was sent to Singapore as
a 2YO. Real Goodman is out of the Encosta de Lago mare, Barella Sorella and
hails from the prolific Lemon Twist family.
