Eliza Park based stallions enjoyed a highly
successful sale as well with Bel Esprit, Statue of Liberty and promising youngster,
Astronomer Royal, all reaping rewards.
Denise Martin’s Star Thoroughbreds was
quick to snap up a Bel Esprit for $165,000, while the Statue of Libertys sold
up to $200,000 (including a half brother to exciting Bel Esprit 2YO, Diamond
Glow).
And full marks to the supporters of
Astronomer Royal whose yearlings averaged $83,333 and sold up to $110,000: a huge
result given his 2012 service fee of just $7,700.
Ultimately, it’s all about return on
investment and the enthusiasm for Eliza’s stallions certainly augurs well for the
coming sales in Perth, Melbourne and Adelaide.
