Boom first season sire, Wanted, has capped off
another remarkable day with his three yearlings offered at today’s second
session of the Gold Coast Magic Millions accruing $500,000 and leaving him with
an overall sale average of $187,142.
Having snapped up the Wanted colt from Royal
Singer earlier in the day for $130,000 from Musk Creek, Gai Waterhouse/James
Harron Bloodstock weighed in again late in the session with $320,000 for the
Wanted colt from With Love (above), consigned by Three Bridges.
The $320k youngster entered the ring directly
after the Wanted colt from With Fervour (offered by Kulani Park) was picked up
by John Sargent for $150,000.
Overall, Wanted has now had seven youngsters
sold for a gross of $1,310,000 – not a bad return for a stallion that stood for
just $33,000 in 2012.
Speaking of return on investment, other Eliza
Park stallions have fared well at the Gold Coast Magic Millions with Statue of
Liberty half brother to Diamond Glow (by Bel Esprit) selling for $200,000 to
the Hong Kong Jockey Club in yesterday’s session, while the Bel Esprit filly
from White Diamonds found a new home today with Denise Martin’s Star
Thoroughbreds when the hammer fell on $165,000.
